Township News Update

The Sandycreek Township Planning Commission anticipates having openings for members in 2026. The Planning Commission is a seven-member voluntary commission which guides the development and growth of the Township and involves such things as subdivision approvals, land development, stormwater, zoning, and comprehensive plans.

Any township resident may submit a letter of interest at the Township Office, 878 Pone Lane, or by email to sandycreektwp@gmail.com. Letters should be received by 3 PM on October 17, 2025.

About Sandycreek Township

Sandycreek Township is one of Pennsylvania’s 2,561 self-governing municipalities.

The small size of local governments in Pennsylvania is a part of a unique heritage of making local government small enough to maximize the opportunities of citizens to participate in decisions.

The Township is governed by a board of three supervisors, who are elected on staggered terms by the citizens across the entire community (At-large election).

The volunteer commission serves without compensation and is responsible for a number of activities including create/review growth plans for the community.

Title: Zoning Officer
Department: Zoning and Code Enforcement
Reports to: Sandycreek Township Supervisors

Job Overview:
This is an administrative/supervisory position with the Township. The employee administers and enforces the various Township ordinances. This person acts as the Township liaison to the Planning Commission. The Zoning Officer reviews plans and applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance(s) as written before presentation to and/or in conjunction with the Planning Commission.
